Vision

I’m a huge believer in being present and living in the moment.  In fact, this video is rocking my world right now.

But I also believe we need to hold a vision for where we want to be in the future.  Something to aspire to, something fuelled with authentic intention, something to manifest.

One of the thing I know for sure (popping on my Oprah cap there!), is that we all need to grow.  Growth is part of who we are, and why we are here.  Growth feels good.  (Check out this recent Facebook post by Elizabeth Gilbert on growth – I’ve bookmarked it because it is THAT GOOD.)

With growth, comes vision.

And with that vision, we can plant the seed.

I want to share my vision with you today.

I feel alive, I feel at home, I feel connected, playful and free.  I am 41, and couldn’t be more content with who I am, and my place in this world.

My children are becoming young adults.  They really are special people.  To watch them grow in independence is a joy (and still a little scary!).

My husband is working in a job that fills him with passion and purpose, and his almost daily surf sessions ground and balance him (he can totally ride a barrel now!).  Each morning we wake up, take one look at each other and smile.  This our life.  We are so blessed.  I am more in love with this man than ever.  He continues to inspire and uplift me.  My true soul mate.

We live by the water (literally across the road from the beach), the smell of salty sea air fills our home when the windows are open.  I still pinch myself that this beautiful house is our home.

Each morning, I move my body – either in a yoga or fitness camp.  In the warmer months, I head down to the beach for some yoga or a workout while Hubby surfs.  I love watching him out there.  I feel strong, healthy and alive.

While the children are at school, I spend my time working, writing, connecting and creating.
I still work with a pretty special team, and my time in that “office” is filled with laughter, fun and balance.
A few days a week, I spend time in my own home office (which is filled with light and colour).  I work with a handful of special clients 1:1 each week – supporting them to design and manifest a life that lights them up and to open themselves up to being who they truly are.
When I am not working with 1:1 clients, I am either continuing to build and support my growing team, or I am writing new e-books and e-courses – all of which are received with love, and are changing the lives of the people who enjoy them.  How I get to call this “work”, I’ll never know.  It makes me so happy.

When I am not working, I am catching up with my special friends for an almond mylk chai (they are still my favourite!), a walk, or a yoga class.  I have a select group of women around me that really are true friends.  We have known each other for quite a while now.  These women are loyal, kind, funny, trustworthy and generous.  I love our regular catch ups.

When my work day is over, I pick my children up from school and it’s all about homework/snacks/sports/music/singing etc.  These hours are phone free, and I love this time to connect with my kids and learn about their day.

Evenings are spent either as a family, or with my love.  Watching movies, reading, or drinking wine on the deck and watching the sun go down.

We are financially free.  We are able to GIVE generously every month – which feels both powerful and humbling.  We also enjoy regular family holidays (and date nights!) and I feel grateful that if need be, both my husband and I can take our work anywhere in the world.  My relationship with money is finally solid, mature and balanced.

Life is abundant in every way.  I am so blessed.

That is my vision.  I don’t just wish it, but I can feel it.  I can see it.  That life is mine.  But it’s up to me to make it happen.

So, beautiful, where do you see yourself in 10 years?  Who are you with?  Where do you live?  How do you feel?  What do you do with your day?

Declare it loudly, and proudly!

Then come back to the how and what.  How can you reach that vision?  How can you start to bring those feelings into your daily life now?  What goals can you put in place to get you there?  What can you do within 5 years that will get you to where you want to be in 10 years?  What steps can you take now to make that vision start to come alive?  Do you need to seek the support of a coach or a mentor?   Inspired action all the way.

Intention.  Vision.  Purpose.

It’s all there, it’s all possible and it’s all yours.  That life is just waiting for you to say YES.

Are you ready to declare it?  If you are brave enough, I would love to hear your vision in the comments below.

With love + gratitude always,
Amelia xx

This is beautiful Amelia. Your vision feels so light and free 🙂 I think I’ll have to do this exercise for myself, writing it out like I’m there right now!
    Much love xx

Oh Amelia, this is just SO beautiful. Your writing and your vision are divine. Writing my vision (as if I was living it) is something I used to do often, but I haven’t in awhile, so thank you for the reminder to revisit my vision.
