I’m sorry, but it takes me quite a little bit of time to get over the excitement of spring. In fact, I won’t apologise. I will EMBRACE these feelings of new-ness and colour and life and fun! Plants are starting to sprout, birds are singing and the smell of freshly cut grass is in the air. Isn’t it magical!?
All these positive vibes have me feeling… well, grateful. So I thought I’d share with you what’s making me happy right now.
TRACKING MY CYCLE
My beautiful, dear friend Claire Baker, is doing some transformative work on our monthly cycles. Seriously – life changing. It’s almost as if this is the missing piece of the puzzle in my own journey of self-development. And I’m all in.
Since I’ve really started tracking my cycle – noting my moods, energy levels, health, mindset etc – I have begun to gain a deeper understanding of my own body and how best it thrives. I’ve been blown away by it all several times already. It just makes sense. With that understanding, has come a deeper respect. A deeper love. Less judgement for those wild, unpredictable ways of being. I get why I can be like I can be at certain points of the month.
I’m really committed to deepening my own self care practices around my cycle – instead of around my calendar or “because I should”. Why force myself to sweat hard at the start of my cycle, when all I want to do is rest and live gently? Why restrict myself to stillness when all I want to do is move my body + play mid-way through my cycle?
It really is changing the way I live my life. This is honouring yourself on an entirely new level.
I’ve only just begun to touch the surface of this work – but I feel excited for where this is taking me. Femininity, creativity, grace, and truly embracing myself as a woman.

I never thought I’d do it. The idea just seemed all too hard, and a little out there for me. But now? I’ll never buy deodorant again. This actually works! I know… I’m kind of shocked too. No smell, no crazy sweat. I know, I know. Crazy, right?!
Three ingredients + some essential oils. And you’re done. Cheap, easy + natural. No chemicals clogging up your pores. It feels good.
The only (very minor) downside is that it’s a bit annoying having to scoop it out of a tub each morning – but I hear you can buy some dispensers online, so I’ll be getting one of those to make it easier and a little less messy.
1/4 cup baking soda
1/4 cup cornflour (organic)
6 tsp Coconut Oil (organic + cold pressed)
1/4 TSP Essential Oils (I chose scents that would support me emotionally, and smell good too!)
Melt coconut oil.
Combine the two powders, slowly add coconut oil and mix until it mixes fully. Then add Essential Oils. Mix again.
Then pop it in a jar (or dispenser) and pop it in the fridge for about an hour.
It should last around 3 months.
